I sit there, imagining, thinking, creating,
The gentle pitter patter of the keyboard,
the hum of the circuits,
the whir of the fans,
the occasional click of the mouse,
are all the sounds I hear

I type, translating thoughts into worlds
The machine understands me,
it brings my creation to life

I look out the window, inspired by the scene
I see the geometry, I see the shaders, I see a world
I see the bump mapping on the driveway
The subsurface scattering on the leaves
The specular highlights on the drainpipe

I resume typing
I talk, the machine listens
I am writing a book
A book describing my vision
We are one, creating new worlds
Turning dreams into realties

I give the command and the machine brings my creation to life,
A world, not unlike our own
Although primitive in its early stages, it is growing, evolving

The sun sets and the room is bathed in an artificial blue,
as the machine simulates my creation

I resume typing
Typing worlds into existence
Pitter, patter, pitter, patter
The keyboard is my instrument
